Sharing mealtimes with my family (or friends) is an enjoyable and rewarding activity, which gives us an opportunity to share ideas and experiences with each other.
And I am really beginning to notice exactly how much food we all get through at each sitting. I enjoy the company and conversation and to enable me to extend my enjoyment, I begin to eat more slowly eating smaller portions of good, healthy, nutritious food.
Food is losing it’s importance to me, as I enjoy eating much smaller portions of healthy food. I begin to leave food on my plate. And when I leave food on my plate, which I am doing more and more often, then I do feel really good, because it’s alright for me to leave food on my plate – I can do this and I won’t risk losing anyone’s love. I leave food on my plate and I feel really good about it.
And this gives me a wonderful feeling deep inside, a feeling of being in control of my life. I begin to notice where my real hunger ends, and when I have had enough to eat, I simply stop eating. I stop eating, that's all there is to to it. And I am completely without any feelings of being denied or doing without - the real feelings that I do have are a feeling of satisfaction, and that satisfaction fills my entire being, I feel so good.
