Bell's Palsy
Bell's palsy is a condition which causes paralysis in affected facial muscles. It usually affects only one side of the face. Bell's palsy is named after the anatomist, Charles Bell, who first described it.
An early diagnosis (within 3 days) is essential as Bell's Palsy can be treated with steroids, however with incomplete facial palsy treatment may not always be necessary.
Bell's Palsy can be caused by emotional, physical or environmental stresses.
